Local Gardens
It is the goal of Charity Seeds to not only provide sustainable and organic food to those in need, but to do so through sustainable project partnerships implemented by excellent partners
Fairfield Garden Initiative Program
Charity Seeds believes that working with local partners makes sense in many ways. One such future partner is the Fairfield Garden Initiative program. The Fairfield Garden Initiative’s (FGI) mission is to build food security in our community by helping low to moderate-income households grow, harvest, and preserve their fruits and vegetables. The Sustainable Living Coalition (SLC), a local non-profit organization in Fairfield, Iowa, operates the program.
Faith Reeves, the FGI program coordinator is primary home garden and soil health educator for this local effort.
